Work … sometimes it pays off!

We have been busy. Things are moving fast and we need to stay on top of it all!

Photos… blogging … pinterest … google+… webinars… apparently it comes with the territory when you start a big project for the internet. Lots of work you did not expect comes along with it! So we work and work and was it worth it? Well, YES, we are quite pleased with the results.

The website is almost done and just in time…. more good things are happening and we need to be prepared.   Check it out:

We have taken this project on as a chance to do something further with our little piece of the Earth!  We love finding families to share the house with and to help them have a lovely vacation.  For the past few weeks, we shared the house with an amazing family from Texas. They told us on a scale of one to ten … our house was a 14!!! They had such a vacation. 🙂

It makes all this work worth it … another successful trip!!

What are you working for?  As you continue with your job, are you asking yourself, how am I helping?

We are so motivated and pleased that we have the chance to bring fun and happiness to a few people in the world!

What are your top 5 MUST SEE THINGS in Las Vegas?

Recently, I was asked to pick 5 must see things from Las Vegas.  WOW … at first you think- there are too many to pick from !!! FIVE???

And so the challenge – I began to narrow it down:

So far I have: (1) Red Rock at sunrise (or sunset if you are lazy); (2) Caesar’s (I love everything about it… the history… the mall…); (3) “O” – nothing more need to be said; (4) Zip Lining over Fremont Street because it is just fun (5) and???? I am stuck here.

Our beautiful Villa in Las Vegas turned into a little kids’ Christmas paradise every December …. the tree alone took me 3 days to put together while John worked outside on the lights for days and days! It was a lot of work but it also left us with the most amazing memories from the house. We are so lucky that we now have the chance to share our home with others. Our hope is that they also enjoy the house and create memories in our place that leaves them warm and happy for many years to come! Please give stay with us and give it a try!

There is not a better way to start out the holiday season than to dress up like Santa Claus – go for a quick 5K through the best shopping area in Las Vegas (Towne Square) and enjoy all Las Vegas has to offer within a few miles of our wonderful Villa! Every year, this experience gets bigger and the fun gets better! Take a step towards the North Pole while visiting us this December!

Las Vegas Get-away!

I know that Las Vegas is a get-away … some come for work, but mainly people come to PLAY! What I did not know or realize was the number of women that gather in this town just for fun days away. We have met some of the most amazing women – coming together to relax, shop, and spoil themselves. Some of them hired chefs to cook at the house and then NEVER LEAVE THE PREMISES! They just enjoy!

I am so excited to have discovered this — because we all do live such busy lives and, if you would believe the news today, we do not take the time to hang with friends! Time and time again, we have groups of powerful, elegant, exciting and loving women visit our house (with their friends, aunts, and even 90-year-old mothers) and they always report back that it was just what they needed and plan to return. Sharing our home means more to me now, because I know we are contributing to many different groups – the executives and hard workers, as well as the families who come to get away. But I am so surprised the know that there are A LOT of wonderful and crazy moms, wives, daughters, sisters and best friends who just need some special moments together! To all of them – we are glad our little piece of heaven can give you time together enjoying fun and peace!

Heck, we admit it… we are a bit lonely. It is Spring in Las Vegas and we need some company. We thought if we made an offer to our friends and family — someone would surely visit! So, for the next 10 days … anyone who signs up to follow this blog can get 10% off a visit to our house! Come one.. come all … try your luck in Vegas before the heat sets in!! Just sign up to follow the blog and e-mail me at (using key word LUCK & the dates you wish to stay)!  I will check the calendar (it is not up-to-date on VRBO) and get right back to you! Welcome Home!

The Process of Growing Up

The Process of Growing Up

This is a place to sit with a glass of wine and truly enjoy life! It was not always this beautiful… this actual spot was a pile of rocks for many months, developed into my first garden (which was not a good use for it), and the kids mud pit for years. This house was our first house … the first place we owned and the first time I felt truly grown up. While living in this house, we went through many changes in our life (kids, dogs, jobs, construction, remodeling)… our lives changed much like this little pile of dirt in the backyard. And through the years, we have worked hard and developed it into the perfect spot to relax! We will keep at it, but this one little spot brings us a lot of joy. Growing up ain’t so bad !!
